Have you been thinking about getting braces but are worried about how you’ll look? It’s natural to be apprehensive about changes to your appearance. That’s why now might be the ideal time to get started.

Why? The face covering or mask you are currently asked to wear in public due to COVID-19 provides an opportunity to get used to how you look with braces. If you worry about what other people will think, they won’t know, at least for a while. By the time you no longer wear your mask, you’ll be used to having braces and to how you look in them.

Most people adjust to how they look with braces within a couple of days. It’s really not any different than how you feel when you get a new hairstyle. The first few times you look in the mirror, you notice, and then suddenly, what was new is now normal. You look and feel like yourself.

Patient Safety and Treatment

We understand and want to assure you that your health and safety is our highest concern. Dr. Crutchfield and the OBC Crew are happy to answer any questions you may have about starting treatment during COVID-19.

Keeping patient safety at the forefront, we have limited the number of in-office appointments we are seeing and have put additional safety protocols in place, such as closing our reception area.

Choosing the Right Braces for You

We offer a variety of options to straighten your teeth, some are invisible or clear aligners while others resemble the traditional brackets that the word braces brings to mind. We will evaluate and determine the best option to give you a smile that makes a splash and fits your lifestyle. We offer the following:

• OBC Clear
• Aligners
• Damon Braces
• SureSmile

Perspective

Remember, the masks and braces are temporary, but your smile will last a lifetime. Don’t wait to begin treatment. Straight teeth are easier to clean and can help lead to a happier, healthier you.
